When your children move away from home, and you are faced with an empty nest, donīt be alarmed if you experience feelings of sadness and loss of purpose. These are normal reactions. Find someone to talk to, such as your spouse or a friend. If you donīt feel better, consult a counselor or therapist trained in the field to help you cope with empty nest syndrome.
