When Is Baby Done?Let your baby stay on the breast for as long as they want. When they are done they will let go on their own or just fall asleep. Most babies will need to stay on the breast *actively swallowing* for at least ten minutes to get a good feed. Your baby should look like a "drunken sailor" - happy, satisfied and asleep.
